Local dishes include spetzofai (a spicy sausage and pepper stew), boubari (a type of sausage), and tsitsiravla (pickled wild fern shoots). The region is also known for its fruit preserves, known as spoon sweets, and its locally produced tsipouro, a strong distilled spirit.
