PerkinElmer is an American multinational corporation focused in the business areas of diagnostics, life science research, food, environmental and industrial testing. Its capabilities include detection, imaging, informatics, and service. PerkinElmer produces analytical instruments, genetic testing and diagnostic tools, medical imaging components, software, instruments, and consumables for multiple end markets.

PerkinElmer was founded in 1937 by Richard Perkin and Charles Elmer as an optical design and consulting company. Over the years, PerkinElmer has expanded its focus through a series of acquisitions and divestitures. Today, the company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "PKI".

PerkinElmer operates in two main segments:
