Paul McCartney's early relationships were influenced by his rise to fame with The Beatles. During the early 1960s, he was romantically linked with several women, including Dot Rhone, his girlfriend from Liverpool. Their relationship lasted for about two and a half years.

Jane Asher[edit | edit source]

One of McCartney's most significant early relationships was with actress Jane Asher. They met in 1963 at a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and soon began dating. McCartney's current wife is Nancy Shevell, an American businesswoman. They began dating in 2007 and married on 9 October 2011. Shevell is a member of the board of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority and comes from a family with a long history in the trucking industry.
