A philosopher is someone who practices philosophy. Philosophers use reason and argument to explore questions about reality, knowledge, ethics, and the meaning of life. Branches of Philosophy[edit | edit source]
Philosophy is divided into several branches, each of which focuses on a different set of questions.

- Epistemology is the study of knowledge and belief, including the nature of truth, the role of evidence, and the limits of human understanding.

- Aesthetics is the study of beauty and taste, including the nature of art, the standards for artistic judgment, and the role of art in society.
