Pocomoke City, Maryland
Pocomoke City is a city in Worcester County, Maryland, United States. It is located on the Pocomoke River and is known for its rich history and natural beauty. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 4,184.

Pocomoke City was originally known as Stevens Landing. The name was changed to Pocomoke City in 1878. The name "Pocomoke" is derived from the Algonquian word meaning "broken ground."
Geography[edit | edit source]
Pocomoke City is situated at the southernmost point of Worcester County. The city covers a total area of 3.1 square miles, of which 3.0 square miles is land and 0.1 square miles is water. The Pocomoke River runs through the city, providing opportunities for boating and fishing.

As of the 2020 United States Census, Pocomoke City had a population of 4,184 people. The city has a diverse population with a mix of different ethnic and racial groups.
