Post Falls is a city located in Kootenai County, Idaho, United States. It is known as "Idaho's River City" due to its location along the Spokane River. With a population of approximately 36,500 as of 2020, it is one of the fastest-growing cities in Idaho.

Post Falls was founded in 1871 by Frederick Post, who established a lumber mill along the Spokane River. The city grew rapidly due to the timber industry and the construction of the Northern Pacific Railway in the late 19th century. It was officially incorporated as a city in 1891.
