Prayer of Saint Francis is a Christian prayer often attributed to the 13th-century saint, Francis of Assisi, although there is no historical evidence that he wrote it. It is also known as the "Peace Prayer", "Peace Prayer of Saint Francis", or the "Simple Prayer for Peace". Its first known publication was in 1912, in a French magazine called La Clochette. The prayer was published anonymously, and its origins are subject to speculation. Despite its uncertain origins, the Prayer of Saint Francis has become widely known and is cherished by people around the world for its messages of peace, selflessness, and service to others.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
