Proteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics is a monthly, peer-reviewed, scientific journal, published by John Wiley & Sons. The journal was established in 1986 and covers research on protein science, including: protein structure, protein function, protein-protein interaction, protein bioinformatics, and related topics.

The journal was established in 1986. The founding editor-in-chief was Harold A. Scheraga, the George W. and Grace L. Todd Professor of Chemistry at Cornell University. The current editor-in-chief is Ruth Nussinov from the National Cancer Institute and Tel Aviv University.

The journal covers all aspects of protein science, including protein structure, protein function, protein-protein interaction, and protein bioinformatics. It publishes original research articles, reviews, and short communications.
