Providence Hospital is a healthcare facility located in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. It was founded in 1938 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Augustine. The hospital specializes in cardiac care and is known for its Providence Heart & Vascular Institute, which is a referral center for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

In 1999, Providence Hospital Northeast was established as a part of the Providence Hospitals system. It offers a range of medical services including surgery, emergency care, women's and children's services, and rehabilitation. Providence Northeast is also home to the Providence Orthopaedic & Neuro Spine Institute, which provides treatment for diseases and injuries of the bones, joints, and spine.

In 2021, the board of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) voted to acquire the Providence Hospitals system. As a result, the hospitals underwent a name change and are now part of MUSC Health.
