QFC[edit | edit source]
QFC, or Quality Food Centers, is a supermarket chain based in Bellevue, Washington, with stores in the Puget Sound region of Washington state and in the Portland metropolitan area of Oregon. The QFC is a subsidiary of The Kroger Company, one of the largest grocery retailers in the United States.
History[edit | edit source]
Quality Food Centers was founded by Jack Croco in 1955 in Seattle, Washington. Over the years, the company expanded rapidly and was eventually acquired by The Kroger Company in 1998. Despite the acquisition, QFC continues to operate under its own banner.
Store Features[edit | edit source]
QFC stores are known for their wide variety of products, including fresh produce, meat and seafood, bakery items, dairy products, frozen foods, and non-food items. Many stores also have a pharmacy, a deli, and a floral department. Some locations even offer online shopping and home delivery services.
Loyalty Program[edit | edit source]
QFC offers a loyalty program called QFC Advantage Card. This program allows customers to earn points on purchases, which can be redeemed for discounts on future purchases. The card also provides access to digital coupons and personalized offers.
Community Involvement[edit | edit source]
QFC is committed to supporting the communities it serves. The company participates in various community outreach programs and charitable activities, such as food drives and fundraising events for local non-profit organizations.
