Qdoba

From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

Qdoba Mexican Eats is an American chain restaurant specializing in Mexican cuisine. The company was founded in 1995 in Denver, Colorado, by Anthony Miller and Robert Hauser. The name "Qdoba" is a made-up word, chosen by the founders for its unique sound and appearance.

History[edit | edit source]

Qdoba was initially named Zuma Fresh Mexican Grill, but the name was changed to Z-Teca Mexican Grill due to a lawsuit from another restaurant, Zuma Mexican Bistro. In 1999, the company again changed its name to Qdoba Mexican Grill to avoid further legal issues. The company was acquired by Jack in the Box in 2003, and later sold to Apollo Global Management in 2018.

Menu[edit | edit source]

Qdoba's menu primarily consists of Mexican-inspired dishes, including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and nachos. Customers can customize their orders with a variety of ingredients, such as grilled chicken, steak, vegetables, and several types of beans and rice. The restaurant also offers a selection of salsas, guacamole, and queso, which can be added to any dish.

Locations[edit | edit source]

As of 2020, Qdoba operates more than 730 restaurants in the United States and Canada. The company has plans for further expansion, both domestically and internationally.
