Queen Mathilde of Belgium (born 20 January 1973) is the queen consort of King Philippe of Belgium, having ascended to the role following her husband's accession to the throne on 21 July 2013. Born Mathilde d'Udekem d'Acoz in Uccle, Belgium, she is the first Belgian-born queen consort in the history of the country. Her marriage to Prince Philippe, then Duke of Brabant, took place on 4 December 1999, and they have four children together. Queen Mathilde is known for her work in social and cultural sectors, focusing particularly on issues of education, child poverty, and women's rights.

Mathilde d'Udekem d'Acoz was born to Patrick d'Udekem d'Acoz, a Belgian noble, and his wife, Countess Anna Maria Komorowska, who is of Polish noble descent. Mathilde was educated in French and Dutch, reflecting Belgium's bilingual nature, and pursued her higher education in speech therapy at the Institut Libre Marie Haps in Brussels, graduating in 1994.
