Rachel Khoo is a British cook, writer, and broadcaster, best known for her cookery series on BBC and her best-selling cookbooks. She has a unique approach to cooking, combining her love of food with her creative flair.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Rachel Khoo was born on August 28, 1980, in Croydon, South London. She is of Austrian and Malaysian Chinese descent. Khoo moved to Paris to study at the famous Le Cordon Bleu culinary school after completing a degree in Art and Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
Career[edit | edit source]
After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu, Khoo started working at a cookbook store in Paris, La Cocotte. Here, she conducted baking workshops, which eventually led to her starting her own food creative consultancy.
In 2010, Khoo published her first cookbook, "Pâtes à tartiner". In 2012, she gained international recognition with her BBC series and cookbook "The Little Paris Kitchen". The series was a success, and it was broadcast internationally. This led to further television series, including "Rachel Khoo's Kitchen Notebook: London and Paris", "Rachel Khoo's Kitchen Notebook: Cosmopolitan Cook" and "Rachel Khoo: My Swedish Kitchen".
Rachel Khoo has also written for numerous publications including The Guardian, The Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Rachel Khoo currently resides in Stockholm, Sweden with her husband and two children. She continues to explore her passion for food through her cookbooks and television series.
