Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital is a public hospital located in Coronationville, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. It was founded in October 1944 as the Coronation Hospital and was initially established to serve the Coloured and Indian communities. The hospital provided healthcare services to the local communities of Newclare, Noordgesig, and Coronationville, as well as black patients from Primville, Orlando, and Sophiatown until 1955. In 1995, the hospital became the primary facility for obstetrics and gynaecology departments, taking over from J.G. Strijdom Hospital. On 29 September 2008, it was renamed Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital in honor of Rahima Moosa, an anti-apartheid activist who participated in the 1956 Women's March against pass laws for non-white women.
