Checkers and Rally's is a chain of double drive-thru restaurants in the United States. The company operates under two brand names, Checkers and Rally's, but both brands share the same menu and branding. The chain is known for its hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries, and milkshakes.

History[edit | edit source]

Checkers was founded in 1986 in Mobile, Alabama, while Rally's was founded in 1985 in Louisville, Kentucky. The two companies operated independently until they merged in 1999. The merger allowed the combined company to expand its presence across the United States, particularly in the Southeastern United States and the Midwestern United States.

Menu[edit | edit source]

The menu at Checkers and Rally's includes a variety of fast food items. Some of the most popular items include:

  • Big Buford: A double cheeseburger with all the fixings.
  • Baconzilla: A bacon cheeseburger with multiple layers of bacon.
  • Famous Seasoned Fries: French fries seasoned with a proprietary blend of spices.
  • Classic Wings: Chicken wings available in various flavors.
  • Milkshakes: Available in several flavors, including vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.

Locations[edit | edit source]

Checkers and Rally's operates over 800 locations across the United States. The restaurants are primarily located in urban and suburban areas, often in standalone buildings with double drive-thru lanes. This unique design allows for faster service and greater efficiency.

Marketing[edit | edit source]

The company is known for its bold and edgy marketing campaigns. Slogans such as "You Gotta Eat" and "Crazy Good Food" have been used to attract customers. The brand often targets younger demographics with its advertising, using humor and high-energy visuals.
