Rambo

Rambo is a popular franchise that originated from a novel and expanded into films, comics, and video games. The franchise centers around the character John Rambo, a troubled Vietnam War veteran and former U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier.

The character of John Rambo was first introduced in the 1972 novel First Blood by David Morrell. The book was a success and led to a series of films starring Sylvester Stallone as Rambo.
