Riley L Martin

Riley Martin was an American author and self-proclaimed alien contactee. Born on May 9, 1946, in Mississippi, Martin claimed that his experiences with extraterrestrial beings began at the age of seven. He is best known for his book, The Coming of Tan, in which he describes his alleged encounters with a group of beings from a distant planet he calls Biaviian. Martin's narratives include descriptions of advanced technology, telepathic communications, and insights into the beings' culture and their concerns about Earth and its inhabitants.

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Riley Martin was born in a poor family in the rural areas of Mississippi. According to Martin, his first encounter with the extraterrestrial beings occurred in 1953, when he was taken aboard their spacecraft. He claimed that over the years, he was taught various subjects by these beings, including their language, history, and technology, as well as insights into the human condition and the universe.

The Coming of Tan[edit | edit source]

In 1995, Martin published The Coming of Tan, a book that details his experiences with the Biaviians. The book serves as a narrative of his abductions and the messages he received from the extraterrestrial beings. Martin's story includes descriptions of the spacecraft, the Biaviian's home planet, and their way of life, as well as warnings about the future of Earth.

Media Appearances[edit | edit source]

Riley Martin's claims gained him a certain level of notoriety, leading to appearances on various radio shows, including the Howard Stern Show, where he became a recurring guest. His stories, while met with skepticism by many, have also attracted a following of believers and enthusiasts of the extraterrestrial and the paranormal.

Criticism and Skepticism[edit | edit source]

As with many claims of alien abduction and contact, Martin's stories have been met with skepticism. Critics argue that there is no empirical evidence to support his claims and that his narratives are either fabrications or the result of psychological phenomena. Despite this, Martin maintained that his experiences were genuine and continued to share his stories until his death.

Legacy[edit | edit source]

Riley Martin passed away on January 5, 2016. Despite the controversy surrounding his claims, he left behind a legacy as one of the more unique figures in the UFO and alien contactee community. His book and appearances continue to be of interest to those studying the phenomenon of alien abduction narratives and the broader cultural implications of such stories.
