History[edit | edit source]

The Rominten Hunting Lodge was constructed in 1891 by order of Emperor Wilhelm II. The lodge was designed in a rustic style, reflecting the Emperor's passion for hunting and the natural environment. The surrounding Rominten Heath was renowned for its rich wildlife, making it an ideal location for a hunting lodge.

During the Second World War, the lodge was used by high-ranking officials of the Nazi regime, including Hermann Göring, who had a particular interest in hunting. After the war, the region was annexed by the Soviet Union, and the lodge fell into disrepair.
