Rosie's Diner was first established in 1946 in New Jersey. It was originally named the Silver Dollar Diner. In 1971, the diner was purchased by a new owner who renamed it Rosie's Diner, after the famous waitress Rosie from the Bounty paper towel commercials.

In 1991, the diner was moved to its current location in Rockford, Michigan. Despite the change in location, Rosie's Diner has maintained its classic charm and continues to serve traditional American diner food.
