Ross Township is a township in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a suburban community located to the north of Pittsburgh. The township is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area and is known for its residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, and historical significance.

Ross Township was established in 1809 and named after James Ross, a prominent lawyer and politician who served as a U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania. The area was originally part of the Depreciation Lands, which were lands given to soldiers as payment for their service in the American Revolutionary War.

Ross Township is situated in the northern part of Allegheny County and covers an area of approximately 14.4 square miles. It is bordered by several other municipalities, including McCandless Township, West View, and Pittsburgh. The township is characterized by its rolling hills and suburban landscape.
