The Rothschild Hospital was a hospital in Vienna, Austria, established in 1873 and named after its founder, Baron Anselm von Rothschild. It was operated by the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde in Vienna, a Jewish community organization. The hospital served the local Jewish population and provided medical care to the community.
Designed by architect Wilhelm Stiassny, the hospital was located at Währinger Gürtel 97. It operated for several decades until its closure in 1943 during the Nazi regime. Following World War II, the building was repurposed as a hospital for displaced persons, accommodating up to 600 refugees.
In 1960, the original hospital building was demolished and replaced with a new structure, which now houses a chamber of commerce. The Rothschild Hospital played a significant role in providing healthcare to the Jewish community in Vienna and supporting those in need during challenging times.
