Royal Dansk is a Danish manufacturer of butter cookies. It is a subsidiary of the international conglomerate, Kelsen Group.

History[edit | edit source]

Royal Dansk was established in 1966 where a range of crisp, delicious and luxury products were born. The cookies were packed and delivered in a recognisable tin showing an old Danish farmhouse. To this day, the design has been used with only minor alterations since it was first created in 1966.

Products[edit | edit source]

Royal Dansk's primary product is traditional Danish butter cookies, made from the finest quality ingredients. The cookies are packaged in a recognisable blue tin featuring an image of an old Danish farmhouse. The company also produces other types of traditional Danish pastries.

Recognition[edit | edit source]

Royal Dansk cookies are known worldwide and are often associated with holiday celebrations, particularly Christmas. They are also commonly used as a gift item due to their premium quality and attractive packaging.

Subsidiary of Kelsen Group[edit | edit source]

In 1990, Royal Dansk became a part of the Kelsen Group, a Danish company that specializes in producing a variety of baked goods. The Kelsen Group is a subsidiary of Campbell Soup Company, an American producer of canned soups and related products.
