The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is a learned society in the United Kingdom with the goal of advancing the chemical sciences. It was formed in 1980 from the amalgamation of the Chemical Society, the Royal Institute of Chemistry, the Faraday Society, and the Society for Analytical Chemistry. The RSC is a registered charity with over 54,000 members worldwide.

The RSC was established in 1980 through the merger of four major chemical societies:
- The Chemical Society, founded in 1841.
- The Royal Institute of Chemistry, founded in 1877.
- The Faraday Society, founded in 1903.
- The Society for Analytical Chemistry, founded in 1874.

The RSC supports the chemical sciences through various activities, including:
