- Sagadahoc County is a county located in the U.S. state of Maine. As of the 2010 census, the population was 35,293. Its county seat is Bath. The county was established on April 4, 1854 and named after the river of the Abenaki Indians meaning "mouth of big river". It is included in the Portland-South Portland, ME Metropolitan Statistical Area.
