Saguache County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2010 census, the population was 6,108. The county seat is Saguache. Saguache County is situated in the northern gateway to the San Luis Valley, a region in Colorado with a rich history of Native American and Hispanic settlement.

Saguache County covers 3,170 square miles and is bordered by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the east and the San Juan Mountains to the west. The county is characterized by vast, flat expanses of farmland, interspersed with high desert and scattered with sand dunes.
