Saint Clair Shores is a city located in Macomb County, Michigan, United States. It is situated on the eastern coast of Lake Saint Clair, about 13 miles northeast of downtown Detroit. The city covers a total area of 14.9 square miles, of which 10.5 square miles is land and 4.4 square miles is water.

The area that is now Saint Clair Shores was first settled in 1710 by French explorers. It was incorporated as a city in 1951. The city is named after Lake Saint Clair, which was named by French explorers in honor of Saint Clare of Assisi.
