Sammi Cheng
Sammi Cheng (born 19 August 1972) is a Hong Kong singer and actress. She is one of the most prominent and successful female singers in the Cantopop industry. Cheng has been active in the entertainment industry since the 1990s and has released numerous albums and starred in various films.

Sammi Cheng was born in British Hong Kong on 19 August 1972. She attended SKH St. Peter's Primary School and later Daughters of Mary Help of Christians Siu Ming Catholic Secondary School. Cheng showed an early interest in music and performance, participating in various school activities and competitions.
Music Career[edit | edit source]
Cheng's music career began in 1988 when she participated in the New Talent Singing Awards and won the third place. This led to her signing with Capital Artists, a major record label in Hong Kong. Her debut album, Sammi, was released in 1990 and received positive reviews.
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Cheng released a series of successful albums, including Never Too Late (1992), Worth It (1996), and Love is Love (2000). She is known for her versatile singing style, which includes Cantopop, Mandopop, and dance-pop.
