Sausage Race is a popular mascot race held during the Milwaukee Brewers Major League Baseball (MLB) games at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The race features anthropomorphic sausages, each representing a different type of sausage, racing around the field. Over the years, the Sausage Race has had its share of controversies and incidents. One notable incident occurred in 2003 when Randall Simon, a player for the Pittsburgh Pirates, hit the Italian Sausage mascot with a bat, causing the mascot to fall. Simon was fined and suspended for his actions.
