Scott Allan (born 28 November 1991) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. He is known for his technical skills, vision, and passing ability. Allan has played for several clubs in Scotland and England throughout his career.

Early Life and Career[edit | edit source]

Scott Allan was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He began his youth career at Dundee United, where he progressed through the ranks and made his professional debut.

Club Career[edit | edit source]

Dundee United[edit | edit source]

Allan made his first-team debut for Dundee United in 2010. His performances attracted attention from several clubs, and he was considered one of the most promising young talents in Scottish football.

West Bromwich Albion[edit | edit source]

In January 2012, Allan signed with West Bromwich Albion in the English Premier League. However, he found first-team opportunities limited and was loaned out to several clubs, including Portsmouth, Milton Keynes Dons, and Birmingham City.

Hibernian[edit | edit source]

Allan returned to Scotland in 2014, signing with Hibernian. During his time at Hibernian, he became a key player and was instrumental in the club's success, including their promotion to the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic[edit | edit source]

In 2015, Allan signed with Celtic. Despite high expectations, he struggled to secure a regular place in the team and was loaned out to Rotherham United, Dundee, and Hibernian again.

Return to Hibernian[edit | edit source]

Allan rejoined Hibernian on a permanent basis in 2019. He continued to be an influential player for the club, contributing with goals and assists.

Allan has represented Scotland at the under-21 level. Despite his talent, he has not yet made his debut for the senior Scotland national football team.

Allan has been open about his diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes, which he manages while continuing his professional football career.
