== Senseki-Tōhoku Line ==

The Senseki-Tōhoku Line (仙石東北ライン, Senseki-Tōhoku Rain) is a railway line in Japan operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). The line connects Sendai Station in Miyagi Prefecture with Ishinomaki Station in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture. It is a combination of the Senseki Line and the Tōhoku Main Line.

The Senseki-Tōhoku Line was established to provide a direct connection between the Senseki Line and the Tōhoku Main Line, improving access between Sendai and Ishinomaki. The line was officially opened on May 30, 2015, following the completion of construction work to link the two lines.

Route[edit | edit source]

The Senseki-Tōhoku Line starts at Sendai Station, a major hub in the region, and travels eastward to Matsushima Station, where it joins the Senseki Line. From there, it continues to its terminus at Ishinomaki Station. The line serves several important stations, including Tagajō Station, Shiogama Station, and Matsushima-Kaigan Station.

The Senseki-Tōhoku Line is operated by JR East and features both local and rapid services. The line is electrified and uses standard gauge tracks. Trains on the line are typically operated by E721 series and HB-E210 series rolling stock.
