Shoney's is an American chain of family dining restaurants that operates primarily in the South and Midwest regions of the United States. Founded in 1947 by Alex Schoenbaum, the company has grown to include over 150 locations across 17 states.

Alex Schoenbaum opened the first Shoney's in Charleston, West Virginia in 1947. Originally named Parkette Drive-In, the restaurant was renamed to Shoney's in 1954. The company began franchising in 1952 and quickly expanded throughout the South and Midwest.

Shoney's menu features a variety of American classics, including burgers, steaks, seafood, and breakfast items. The restaurant is also known for its buffet offerings, which include a salad bar, hot food bar, and dessert bar.
