Shri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital was established with the aim of providing quality medical education and healthcare services to the people of Odisha. The foundation stone of the institution was laid by the then Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, in 2007. The college started its academic activities in 2009 with the admission of its first batch of students.
