Sibrandes Poppema
Dutch-Canadian immunologist and academic administrator
Sibrandes Poppema (born 24 August 1951) is a Dutch-Canadian immunologist and academic administrator known for his contributions to the field of immunology and his leadership roles in higher education. He has served as the president of the University of Groningen and has been involved in various international educational initiatives.

Sibrandes Poppema was born in Friesland, Netherlands. He pursued his medical education at the University of Groningen, where he developed an interest in immunology.
