Smith Island, Maryland
Smith Island, Maryland is an island located in Somerset County, Maryland. It is the only inhabited offshore island in Maryland and is known for its unique culture, history, and the famous Smith Island Cake.

Smith Island is located in the Chesapeake Bay, approximately 12 miles west of Crisfield, Maryland. The island is only accessible by boat. It is comprised of several small communities, including Ewell, Rhodes Point, and Tylerton.
