Snow Cake is a 2006 drama film directed by Marc Evans and written by Angela Pell. The film stars Alan Rickman, Sigourney Weaver, and Carrie-Anne Moss. It is a British-Canadian co-production that explores themes of grief, autism, and human connection.

The film follows Alex Hughes (played by Alan Rickman), a British ex-convict who travels to the small town of Wawa, Ontario, after a tragic car accident. In the accident, a young hitchhiker named Vivienne Freeman is killed. Alex feels compelled to visit Vivienne's mother, Linda (played by Sigourney Weaver), who is an autistic woman living independently.

Linda is portrayed as having a unique perspective on life, and her interactions with Alex reveal her struggles and strengths. As Alex spends time with Linda, he also becomes involved with her neighbor, Maggie (played by Carrie-Anne Moss), and begins to confront his own past and grief.
