Southaven is a city located in DeSoto County, Mississippi, United States. It is a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee and is considered part of the Memphis metropolitan area. With a population of 54,828 as of 2020, Southaven is the third-largest city in Mississippi.

Southaven was incorporated as a city in 1980, following a period of rapid growth in the 1970s. The city was originally a small farming community, but it experienced significant development and expansion due to its proximity to Memphis.
