Southern Methodist University (SMU) is a private research university located in Dallas, Texas, United States. Established in 1911 by the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, SMU operates satellite campuses in Plano, Texas and Taos, New Mexico. The university is associated with the United Methodist Church and offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across its seven schools.
