Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) is a national professional association that represents speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and communication health assistants in Canada. SAC is dedicated to supporting and promoting the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology, as well as advocating for the needs of individuals with communication disorders.

SAC was founded in 1964 as the Canadian Speech and Hearing Association. Over the years, the organization has evolved to better represent the growing fields of speech-language pathology and audiology. In 2014, the association rebranded to its current name, Speech-Language and Audiology Canada, to more accurately reflect its membership and scope.

The mission of SAC is to support and empower its members to maximize the communication and hearing potential of the people of Canada. The vision of SAC is to be the national voice and recognized leader for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and communication health assistants.

SAC offers various membership categories, including full membership for certified professionals, associate membership for students and international professionals, and retired membership for those who have retired from active practice. Members benefit from access to professional development resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy support.
