St. Tammany Parish is a parish located in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The parish seat is Covington. As of the 2020 census, the population was 264,570, making it one of the fastest-growing parishes in the state.

St. Tammany Parish was established in 1810, named after the legendary Lenape Chief Tamanend. The area was originally inhabited by various Native American tribes, including the Acolapissa and Choctaw. European settlers began to arrive in the late 18th century, and the parish developed rapidly in the 19th century due to its strategic location and natural resources.

St. Tammany Parish is located in southeastern Louisiana, bordered by Lake Pontchartrain to the south.
