Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Set in the DC Universe, the game is a continuation of the Arkham series, taking place after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight. It features a cooperative multiplayer mode, allowing players to take control of various members of the Suicide Squad, including Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark, as they embark on a mission to take down the Justice League, who have been brainwashed by the alien supervillain Brainiac.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League combines third-person shooter mechanics with action-adventure elements. Players can switch between characters at will, each offering a unique set of abilities and weapons. The game can be played solo, with the computer controlling the other squad members, or in multiplayer mode with up to four players. The game's open-world setting, based in Metropolis, allows for exploration and the completion of various side missions alongside the main storyline.
Development[edit | edit source]
The game was officially announced at the DC FanDome event in 2020, with a release initially slated for 2022. However, it has since been delayed to ensure the game meets the high standards set by previous entries in the Arkham series. Rocksteady Studios, known for their work on the Arkham games, has emphasized their commitment to delivering a deep narrative experience, combined with high-octane gameplay.
Reception[edit | edit source]
While Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has not yet been released, anticipation for the game is high among fans of the Arkham series and the DC Universe. Early previews and trailers have been met with positive feedback, particularly for the game's visual fidelity, character design, and the intriguing premise of battling against the Justice League.
