Syiah Kuala University
Syiah Kuala University (Indonesian: Universitas Syiah Kuala), also known as Unsyiah, is a public university located in Banda Aceh, Aceh, Indonesia. It is the oldest and largest public university in Aceh, established on September 2, 1961. The university is named after Teungku Syiah Kuala, a prominent Islamic scholar in Aceh.

Syiah Kuala University was founded in response to the need for higher education institutions in Aceh. The establishment of the university was part of the efforts to rebuild and develop the region after the Indonesian National Revolution. The university has grown significantly since its inception, expanding its academic programs and facilities.
