Tacha (food)[edit | edit source]

In Mexican cuisine, Tacha refers to a type of preserved fruit, typically made from pumpkin or other types of squash. The fruit is cooked in a syrup made from piloncillo (unrefined cane sugar) and cinnamon until it becomes soft and sweet.
