The Exploits of Elaine is a 1914 American silent film serial directed by Louis J. Gasnier and George B. Seitz. The serial was produced by the Wharton Studios and distributed by Pathé Exchange. It is based on the character Elaine Dodge created by Arthur B. Reeve in his series of detective stories featuring Craig Kennedy, sometimes referred to as "the American Sherlock Holmes".

The story follows the adventures of Elaine Dodge, a young woman who seeks the help of detective Craig Kennedy to solve the mystery of her father's murder. The villain, known as "The Clutching Hand," is a master criminal who leaves a distinctive handprint at the scene of his crimes. Throughout the serial, Elaine and Kennedy face numerous dangers and challenges as they work to bring the Clutching Hand to justice.
