This Is Going to Hurt is a British medical comedy-drama television series based on the memoir of the same name by Adam Kay. The series was created by Adam Kay and premiered on BBC One in the United Kingdom and AMC+ in the United States.

The series follows the life of Adam Kay, a junior doctor working in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department of a busy National Health Service (NHS) hospital. The show provides a candid and often humorous look at the challenges and pressures faced by healthcare professionals, as well as the impact of the job on their personal lives.
