Timothy Taylor Brewery is a family-owned regional brewery founded in 1858 by Timothy Taylor. The brewery is located in Keighley, West Yorkshire, England. It is known for its well-crafted ales and has won several awards for its products.

History[edit | edit source]

Timothy Taylor started the brewery in 1858 after leaving his job as a bank clerk. The original brewery was located in Cook Lane, Keighley. In 1863, the brewery moved to larger premises in Keighley's Knowle Spring, where it remains to this day. The brewery has remained in the Taylor family for over 150 years.

Beers[edit | edit source]

Timothy Taylor Brewery produces a range of cask ales, including Landlord, a 4.3% ABV pale ale that is the brewery's best-known product. Other beers produced by the brewery include Boltmaker, a bitter, and Golden Best, the last traditional Pennine light mild.

Awards[edit | edit source]

Timothy Taylor's beers have won numerous awards. Landlord has won the CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain four times, and Boltmaker won the same award in 2014.

Sustainability[edit | edit source]

The brewery is committed to sustainability and has implemented several measures to reduce its environmental impact. These include a heat recovery system and a water treatment plant. The brewery also sources its ingredients locally, including using English-grown barley and hops.
