Tony Gemignani was born and raised in Fremont, California. He began his career in the pizza industry at the age of 18, working at his brother's pizzeria, Pyzano's. It was here that he honed his skills in pizza making and developed his passion for the craft.

He is an 13-time World Pizza Champion, and was the first American and non-Neapolitan to win the World Champion Pizza Maker title at the World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy.
