Trevor Noah (born 20 February 1984) is a South African comedian, television host, political commentator, actor, producer, and writer. He is best known for hosting The Daily Show, an American satirical news program on Comedy Central.

Trevor Noah was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, to a Xhosa mother and a Swiss-German father. His upbringing during the apartheid era in South Africa significantly influenced his comedic and political perspectives.

Noah began his career in South Africa, where he hosted several television shows, including Run The Adventure (2004–2006), The Real Goboza (2007–2008), and Trevor Noah: The Daywalker (2009).
