Trinity Health (Minot, North Dakota)

Trinity Health is an American healthcare provider headquartered in Minot, North Dakota. It is a non-profit organization that operates three acute care hospitals, several clinics, and a long-term care and retirement facility. Trinity Health is the largest employer in Minot and has more than 150 physicians on staff. The organization has been designated as a Level II trauma center.

History: Trinity Health has a rich history dating back to the early 1920s when Lutheran pastors gathered in Minot to plan for a hospital. The Trinity Hospital Association was formed in 1922, and the first 30-bed hospital unit was constructed shortly after. In the 1970s, Trinity Hospital merged with the Lutheran Home to form Trinity Medical Center. In 1999, the organization changed its name to Trinity Health. Over the years, Trinity Health has expanded its facilities and services, including the construction of the Trinity CancerCare Center.
