UT Rio Grande Valley
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is a public research university in the Rio Grande Valley region of Texas, United States. It is part of the University of Texas System. UTRGV was created in 2013 by the Texas Legislature's passage of Senate Bill 24, and it officially began operations in 2015. The university has multiple campuses and sites throughout the Rio Grande Valley, including in Edinburg (where its main campus is located), Brownsville, and Harlingen, among others. UTRGV is the largest university in the Rio Grande Valley and one of the largest in the state of Texas.
