Ubuntu Cola was launched in the UK in 2007 by Ubuntu Trading Company Ltd. It was the first cola in the UK to be Fairtrade certified. The company's mission is to use the profits from the sale of the cola to support economic development projects in the sugar cane growing regions of Malawi and Zambia.
